More About Garrett Turbochargers
Headquartered in Torrance California, Garrett has made many turbocharger models and families through the years. The most current state-of-the-art model series is their GT line of turbochargers. Prior to the GT series' introduction in the 1990s, the "T" series was the workhorse of the OEM and aftermarket and served each market well. During the development phase of the GT design it was referred to as 'New Garrett Technology' or NGT. Over time it was shortened to GT and is now used to officially describe all of the current models now in production.
