CNC Machining (Including 5-Axis), CNC Milling Service

Utilizing high quality CNC machines our CNC turning and milling service is an excellent solution for creating parts featuring complex shapes and high dimensional tolerances, while providing a cost-effective solution for short production runs. CNC precision milling can produce virtually any 2D or 3D shape where the material can easily be reached by the rotating cutting tools. Our 5-Axis CNC machining centers can rotate on two additional rotary axes (A and B) which help the cutting tool approach prototypes and parts from all directions providing a high quality finish.

Why is 5-Axis Machining Better?

While you can use a 3-axis machining center for mold work, long, skinny tools are necessary if you have a deep-cavity mold. With long, skinny tools, you have to slow down the feed-rates to minimize chatter and prevent tool breakage. Often, you can’t achieve the quality of surface finish you need using 3-axis machining for mold work. For fine finishing operations, especially on small diameter molds, 3-axis machining can make the process more difficult than it needs to be. With simultaneous 5-axis machining, you can use shorter, stouter tools, which means you can push faster with increased feed-rates. Using simultaneous 5-axis machining for mold work means you can take heavier cuts and z-depths aren’t a problem. All of this results in shorter total machining time, quicker time to finish, better quality products.

We will also perform a final inspection to ensure the part is free of surface imperfections.
